“Little Blue and Mum” Original Oil Painting.
I love this portrait of the two elephants it’s so emotional. It shows the love between a mother and baby elephant, as the little one leans back into his mother’s faces as she bends to caress him.I did this portrait as a demonstration at a show. As I started it was difficult for people to see the two elephants so I changed the colour scheme and made the baby blue it only seemed right to add the pinks and purples to the Mum.
Elephants are endangered animals I will donate 10% of the sale of the original to the DSWF. Wildlife Conservation.

“Ruby” My thoughtful Chimp
Puzzled , Thoughful, or Sad?
Ruby was one of my first oil paintings I had a deep connection with her whilst painting. Going through the worst time in my life I connected with her thoughtful yet sadness in her pose. The eyes always say so much.
I enjoyed the whole process of layering the colours using subtle tones of reds, greens and purples in with the blacks and greys. Capturing the soul through the eyes. She’s has so much character in her face leaning on her chunky hand.
